Commission Encounter exists to help believers in Christ to mobilize their faith through short-term missions and hands-on educational training. We work with mission trips as local as Kentucky, nationally to Indian Reservations and internationally to Honduras, Barbados, India, Ireland and other location around the world.

Local/State

Eastern Kentucky

Although this area is known well for its vast natural beauty, it also carries with it a striking amount of poverty. Not often do we think of America as being a poor nation, but some areas such as this are in great need both physically and spiritually.

We currently serve in three different locations of Eastern KY; Campton, Artemis, and Harlan.

Louisville

We also have the capability of hosting an even more local trip to Louisville, Ky. Like most large cities, Louisville is filled with opportunities to witness to the lost and to show the love of Christ to those in need.
Commission Encounter is currently partnering with both South Louisville Christian Church and Louisville Bible College for ministry opportunities. We are very excited to serve with these groups!

National

A national trip usually consists of traveling a certain distance, and comfort zone stretching, without actually leaving the country for a trip. These trips are usually about 8 days long, with at least 24 hrs devoted to travel time.

Our “national” trip location is Show Low, Az. We have recently begun a partnership with Without Reservation Ministries to minister to the Indian reservation in Show Low.
Currently, Without Reservation Ministries works alongside the people of the White Mountains to bring hope and second chances to the lost and hurting and those that are in need to be shown Christ’s love.

International

Honduras– Commission Encounter is partnered with Rob Esposito, a full-time missionary in Honduras. Rob feels called by God to build a camp with the primary focus on reaching teens in central Honduras, in order to provide a place for them to come and learn/experience the love of God through Christ.

Barbados– We Are excited to welcome Arlington and the Christian Ministry of Barbados to the Commission Encounter Family! Arlington has numerous programs up and running for the church and is looking to reach the lost no matter the cost.
